Dr. Gilat had published extensively on complex cartilage restoration procedures and biologic treatments, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC). Dr. Gilat has specific interest in machine-learning research and published one of the largest cartilage cohorts to date using machine-learning algorithms to predict failure and assist in clinical decision-making. Dr. Gilat's research focuses on joint preservation techniques including cartilage restoration, meniscal preservation, and corrective osteotomies as well, hoping to aid in the development of techniques for the prevention of osteoarthritis.
